Description
The adapter with flange 1/2 "x 3 / 8" f/m refers to the threaded connection with female thread and is used to connect elements of the pipeline 1/2", with a rigid water supply inlet (brass tube diameter of 10 mm). Has one outlet with 1/2" (16 mm) female thread and one with 3/8" male thread or collet for 10 mm tubing. That is, the consumer unscrewing the collet connection receives on the second end of the male thread 3/8".
Most often used to connect a faucet to a rigid inlet (brass tube diameter 10 mm).
Sealing materials such as plumber's tape and paste and/or Teflon tape (PTFE sealing material tape) and/or aerobic sealant must be used to obtain a tight connection when the ½" threaded side of the nipple is installed. Each product is provided with a hexagonal shaped section for spanner and/or adjustable wrench to facilitate the installation process. No additional sealing material is required when using the collet connection.
The nipple is manufactured by the hot forging method. Suitable for use in drinking water systems due to the minimum lead content in the alloy. It has a 0.1mm thick chromium mirror coating for a pleasing aesthetic and enhanced protective properties.
